Welcome to Mike Raine – CPD and Further Training for Outdoor Leaders

I run Nature of Snowdonia and other workshops designed for outdoor leaders. I’m the author of Nature of Snowdonia (Pesda Press, 2020) and The Mountain Leader – A Practical Manual (Pesda Press, 2023), both available in the Books section of this website.

I’ve worked as a Geography teacher and as Senior Instructor at Plas y Brenin (The National Outdoor Centre). I now focus on training and supporting outdoor leaders as a Mountaineering Instructor, based in North Wales.
