About the Event
Once again, we are joined by Julian Hughes of the Welsh Ornithological Society for this workshop. It is a real treat to have his expert input as we travel from the valley, through distinct habitats of varied woodland, waterside, meadow, open moor to open mountain. This is Hen harrier country.
These workshops are primarily aimed at Mountain Leaders and Instructors or trainees working towards those awards. Anyone working outside with, or leading, groups in the hills or mountains of the UK should however, find these workshops of interest. We generally attract a like-minded keen group of people who get along with each other giving the day a fun feeling in which to learn.
Whilst this workshop has a bird’s theme Mike, author of Nature of Snowdonia, will respond to whatever the environment and weather throw at us on the day. Key topics might include; spring flowers and other plants, geology, glaciation, and archaeology. You will get one CPD point for MTA, AMI or BAIML.
